As you may know, Microsoft has bee rolling out the "browser choice screen" in Europe as required by the European Commission. The process is expected to be complete by March 1st.

Already, many in Europe want to know how to turn off microsoft browser choice, because the browser(s) they want are already installed. They are being asked to choose browsers every time they boot-up their computers, even when they close the browser choice screen, or opt to select one later. Unfortunately, Microsoft has not included a way to switch-off the browser choice screen.

So here is what I recommend, because it cannot be turned off.
Click Install for a browser you already have.
- Your browser will come up saying that it is already your default browser
- Close the browser choice
- It will stop bugging you now!

OR for the computer savy:
Have a look in "[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun]" This is the place where some of the run-at-startup time programs get placed. Browser Choice is in the list, so it can be deleted.
OR
Add the following lines into a text file and name it browserchoice_disable.reg

Make sure there are no extra spaces at the end of each line..as sometimes happens with webpage pasting).
Then do:- regedit browserchoice_disable.reg
